Programme Overview

The Foundation in Arts at the International University College of Management and Sports (ICMS) is an MQA-accredited pre-university programme designed to prepare SPM, O-Level and equivalent school leavers for degree studies in Business, Humanities and Social Sciences. It provides a clear and flexible pathway into fields such as Business Administration, Communication, Psychology, Sociology, Education and Law. The programme also strengthens essential academic skills in reading, writing, speaking and critical thinking to support students in their university journey.

The curriculum offers a balanced blend of subjects including communication, critical thinking, social sciences, basic business studies, mathematics and digital literacy. Students may choose either the Business Pathway or the Humanities Pathway. Learning takes place in an English-focused environment supported by continuous coursework, practical projects and case-based activities.

The programme also nurtures positive values, civic awareness and appreciation of Malaysia’s multicultural society. Overall, it aims to develop confident, responsible and well-rounded learners who are ready to progress into their degree studies and succeed in their future careers.

Entry Requirements 

  1. Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or its equivalent, with at least five (5) credits in any
    subjects; OR

  2. Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with a minimum of Grade B in three (3) subjects;
    OR

  3. Pass O-Level with a minimum of Grade C in five (5) subjects; OR

  4. Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.
