Petaling Jaya, 14 October 2025 – The International University College of Management and Sports (ICMS) successfully hosted the Full Accreditation Audit conducted by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) for the Diploma in Sports Science programme on 13 and 14 October 2025 at its main campus, Menara PKNS, Petaling Jaya.
The two-day audit, undertaken by an appointed panel of assessors from MQA, involved a rigorous and comprehensive evaluation of the programme’s academic structure, governance, curriculum delivery, pedagogical effectiveness, and institutional support systems. This process forms an integral part of the national quality assurance mechanism to ensure that academic programmes meet the standards of relevance, integrity, and academic excellence as outlined in the MQA Code of Practice for Programme Accreditation (COPPA).
The audit session was attended by the Chief Executive of ICMS, alongside the Heads of Academic, Programme Leader, Registrar. The leadership team collectively presented evidence-based documentation, curriculum frameworks, and performance indicators that demonstrate ICMS’s commitment to continuous improvement and alignment with Malaysia’s higher education quality benchmarks.
The Diploma in Sports Science at ICMS distinguishes itself through its Work-Based Learning (WBL) framework, an educational model that integrates structured industry engagement into the academic experience. Through collaborations with sports organisations, fitness centres, and professional practitioners, students gain real-world exposure to areas such as sports performance analysis, exercise physiology, and digital sports management — cultivating both technical proficiency and leadership acumen relevant to Malaysia’s dynamic sports industry.
