Glow Vibes Deepavali 2025: A Celebration of Culture, Creativity & Unity at ICMS

Glow Vibes Deepavali 2025, an event organised by the ICMS Artvibe Society, brought students together on 19 November 2025 for a celebration rich in colour, culture and shared purpose. From the start of the week, members of the Artvibe Society worked diligently to decorate the campus with Deepavali themed displays. Their effort and creativity reshaped the environment into a warm and festive space that reflected both artistic skill and the strong sense of unity within the student community. The celebration gained momentum on 18 November through a Kolam Competition that featured six groups presenting detailed and vibrant designs. This activity fostered teamwork and cultural appreciation while setting an encouraging tone for the days that followed.

On 19 November at 1:00 PM, the main event opened with cultural booths that invited students to engage directly with traditional practices. Many took part in flower garland tying, learning the careful techniques involved in arranging fresh flowers. Others participated in diya colouring, where they painted clay lamps and deepened their understanding of the significance of light during Deepavali. At 3:00 PM, the official ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp, officiated by Ms Pramila Hari Singh, Mr Deeban, Dr Rahiza, Mr Pradeep, Sean Dheeran and Dhurga. The ceremony then continued with a series of performances that brought strong energy to the hall, including modern and traditional Indian dances, singing, Silambam demonstrations and a presentation that explained the cultural and historical background of Deepavali.

The atmosphere throughout the event remained joyful, inclusive and thoughtful. Students had the opportunity to learn, participate and appreciate the richness of Indian culture in a setting shaped by collaboration and respect. Glow Vibes Deepavali 2025 stood as a meaningful reflection of the creativity, cultural awareness and unity that define the ICMS community.
