OSH Career Forum 2026: Strengthening Industry Linked Career Readiness for DOSH Students
February 16, 2026In response to the evolving global landscape that increasingly demands transparency, sustainability, and ethical governance, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) has become a critical component of higher education. Universities today play a vital role not only in producing academically competent graduates but also in nurturing individuals who are conscious of the environmental, social, and governance implications of organisational decisions. In line with this responsibility, ICMS University College is organising the programme “ESG Introduction for Universities: Concepts, Materiality & Real-World Reporting”, designed to provide students with a structured and practical understanding of ESG principles. The programme is aligned with Bursa Malaysia Sustainability Reporting requirements and internationally recognised Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, and will be conducted by Dr. Mudiarasan, an experienced practitioner and academic in sustainability, ESG integration, and organisational development.
Through this programme, students of ICMS University College will gain a solid foundation in ESG fundamentals, exposure to ESG materiality concepts, insights into real-world ESG reporting practices, and the ability to apply ESG principles in academic assignments, research, and industry-linked projects. This applied approach bridges theoretical learning with contemporary industry expectations, thereby enhancing graduate employability and professional readiness. To ensure maximum learning impact, students with scheduled classes during the programme period are required to attend, while those without classes are strongly encouraged to participate. This initiative reflects ICMS University College’s continued commitment to developing ethically grounded, critically minded, and sustainability-oriented graduates who are prepared to meet the challenges of an increasingly complex global environment.
